[First day of Iris.

Cordis had been fine - thankfully, Atsushi had gotten cat features and not kitsune ones, the kitsune was 300% harder to manage. Atsushi had used it as a chance to ease Dazai into the concept of what a moonblessing did to a person. New physical features, small influences on your personality, and new needs like being super ultra cuddly.

Now it's Dazai's turn.

Carefully, Atsushi knocks on Dazai's bedroom door.]

How are you feeling?

[ningen]

[Dazai has done his best to make himself at home. He's spent time decorating, setting their whole place in vibrant reds, golds, and other fall tones. He's been excited about things! Doing his best!

And then the moon happened.

He hears the knock at his door, and jumps, before cowering back down against the pillow he's had his face shoved into for the past hour. A loud groan can be heard on the other side of the door.]

Go away...

[tigerpoet]

That bad, huh.

[Not surprised, but still concerned.]

Can I get you anything?

[ningen]

[Go away before he goes back to frantically doing unmentionable things, shh.]

Maybe you could kill me in a minute...

[tigerpoet]

[You can mention them, it's fine??]

Sorry, no. Anything else?

[ningen]

[UNMENTIONABLE!!!!! It's not like he's humping a pillow...

...........okay he is.]

I hate this...

...You're not going to get any relief by yourself. You can still cash in on that IOU, you know.

[ningen]

[He sighs, then flops over onto his back dramatically. He's still in his PJs--has been all day--and he's just a miserable mess. His hair isn't done, his clothing feels clingy... And worse than that. He's not even sure what's going on.]

N-no, no, no, I can't...

[tigerpoet]

Can I at least talk to you face to face instead of through a door? I want to help.

[Either help or "help", depending on what Dazai needs.]

[ningen]

I look awful! If you saw me like this, you'd never forget it. I can't handle that, too!

[Seriously, he's a sweaty, shivering mess right now. He feels almost feverish.]

You've never been like this, right? So you can't help!

I haven't, but I've helped more than one Iris through their heat before.

[He has a lot of experience with that part. Very enjoyable experience.]

I'm not going to judge you based on how you look during a heat.

[ningen]

[Rolling onto his side, he curls into a ball, arms around his knees.]

...You won't judge me? Can you do me a favor and just forget everything as soon as it's over? If you'll do that, I'll let you come in.

I promise.

[He's not sure if he can, but he'll try his best to repress every memory of this encounter.]

[ningen]

Okay. [A long, slow breath.] Okay. Bring some soothing music or something, please?

[tigerpoet]

Okay.

[Atsushi takes a second to fetch his phone, puts it onto some soothing strings music, and opens Dazai's bedroom door.]

Is this music okay?

[ningen]

[The lights are off, except a lamp he's covered with a thin red scarf, and he's still curled up in a ball. The music is nice, though, so he slowly nods.]

It's fine. Anything too loud makes me feel worse.

[tigerpoet]

Heats can be like that. [Though none of his Iris partners have ever complained about him screaming their names-] Can I sit with you?

[ningen]

...if you want. I feel completely disgusting, though, so I probably... smell bad... or something... Ugh.

[He shoves his face into the pillow and groans loudly with frustration. It's dramatic.]

Just don't say anything about it!!! I know I'm disgusting right now!!

[tigerpoet]

I promise you you won't disgust me, and I've probably been worse. Been worse.

[Carefully, he sits at the edge of Dazai's bed, making sure not to touch Dazai unless he's given permission.]

[ningen]

What's worse than this?

[Sighing, he peeks up at his roommate.]

[tigerpoet]

Well, once when I was a kitsune I wore a skirt and flipped it up in a store's changing room for someone...

[Kitsune are menaces.]

[ningen]

A-ah, I'm sorry I asked!

[Dazai will get used to this, give him time.]

...Do you usually cross dress???

Not out in public like that! ...Sometimes in private, if my partner likes it.

[ningen]

I hope you at least have the legs for it!

[Dazai will try his best to be supportive, sir. At least this comment makes him laugh a little bit, and the tiniest amount of the tension in him lets up.]

I've gotten no complaints so far, although none of my partners have the sense of style you do.
